Pamela Anderson appeared on the Ellen Show Thursday to talk about her prep work leading up to the NYC Marathon.

The former Baywatch babe has been training for six months and admits, “I’ve never even run across the street before this.”

She revealed that it didn’t go well at first. “I started running and I hated it, of course. Everyone hates running for the first mile … and now I love it. I look forward to it. It clears my head.”

Although she’s only run 12 miles up until this point, Anderson said she has a strategy for making it to the finish line, “I always think, if my son was hurt I could run 26 miles to him.”

DeGeneres replied, “You think that, but no.”

Pamela has turned her run into a fundraising effort for J/P Haitian Relief Organization – with pledges totalling nearly $9K so far.

She stated emphatically, “I’m not going to finish top 10 guaranteed… I’m doing it for Haiti, I can walk, I can run, I can crawl … jump on someone’s back. My brother is going to run with me and he talks a lot so I’ll be running away from him.”

Regarding her love life, Anderson described her current relationship with former husband Rick Salomon as “best friends with benefits.”

The interview is pretty funny, check it out below:
