Jack Osbourne and his wife Lisa Stelly announced yesterday that they have lost their unborn son during the second trimester of her pregnancy.
Stelly suffered the miscarriage last week, but the couple needed some time to come to terms with the loss before going public with the information.
On Lisa’s blog, Raddest Mom, she has now posted a message titled Unfortunate News:
“I have been dreading this announcement…. I needed some time before being able to say it. Jack and I lost our baby boy last week. Having a late term miscarriage is by far the hardest thing either of us have ever had to go through. We appreciate all of your prayers and ask for privacy and respect during this time. It’s important to stay hopeful and optimistic through life’s toughest moments. We never know why things like this happen. All we can do is trust in God and know he has a plan for our lives.”
Lisa and Jack wed in Hawaii last fall and have a 16-month-old daughter Pearl Clementine.
Last night Lisa tweeted, “Cuddling my amazing, sweet hubby & shutting my eyes. Thank you all for the love & support. It means the world.”
Osbourne, who suffers from multiple sclerosis, has partnered with Cheryl Burke for season 17 of ‘Dancing with the Stars,’ premiering Monday, September 16 on ABC 8:00 p.m., ET.
Because of his condition, Osbourne has made a number of significant life style changes and injects himself daily with medications to treat numbness in both legs. He admits that his doctors have urged him to stop participating in highly intensive physical workouts.
