Kate Bosworth exchanged wedding vows with director Michael Polish on Saturday during an outdoor ceremony in Montana.
The bride, 30, met and fell in love with Polish when he directed her in the 2011 drama ‘Big Sur.’ According to the 42-year-old groom, “It was love at first sight.”
She revealed in the September issue of InStyle UK, “I never even dated my husband-to-be. He said to me after just a few weeks before we were even together, ‘I’m going to marry you.’ He just knew.”
Bosworth got engagement last September and confirmed it with this tweet, “Thank you for all the wonderful engagement wishes…We feel truly blessed.”
The nuptials took place at sunset on top of a mountain near The Ranch at Rock Creek in Philipsburg, Montana. Witnessing the ceremony were 60 family members and friends, who were driven from the ranch to a spot filled with wildflowers.
Kate chose a “plain” and “strapless” boho-chic style for her dress. The actress revealed beforehand, “It will not be the norm and whiskey will be involved.”
Polish has a teenage daughter, Jasper, from a previous marriage that ended in 2004.
A photo spread from the wedding will be featured in the December issue of Martha Stewart Weddings publication. Check out a sneak peek below:
