Emma Roberts was arrested in Montreal for allegedly battering Evan Peters, her actor boyfriend of ‘American Horror Story’ fame.
The early morning altercation took place on Sunday, July 7, and is only now coming to light.
According to a police report obtained by TMZ, the 22-year-old actress got into a heated argument with Peters, 26, in a hotel room where they were both staying.
When officers arrived, they observed that his nose was bleeding and he had an obvious bite mark. They arrested Emma and held her for several hours, until her boyfriend of one year decided not to press charges.
Their reps issued a joint statement: “It was an unfortunate incident and misunderstanding. Ms. Roberts was released after questioning and the couple are working together to move past it.”
Roberts, 22, will be joining Peters as a cast member on the third season of the FX erotic thriller ‘American Horror Story’ this fall. She is also gearing up to promote her latest film, ‘We’re The Millers,’ set to hit theaters on August 7, 2013.
Emma’s father, Eric Roberts, is the older brother of Academy award-winning actor Julia Roberts.
