Angus T. Jones, Jake on the long-running hit CBS sitcom ‘Two and a Half Men,’ won’t be returning as a full time cast member for the 11th season.
In November 2012 Angus burned a few bridges when his YouTube “filth” confessional went viral. Among other things, he begged viewers to stop warping their brains by watching the show.
To his credit, he later apologized “for showing indifference and disrespect of my colleagues and a lack of appreciation of the extraordinary opportunity of which I have been blessed.”
CBS entertainment chief Nina Tassler acknowledged, “The kid is 19 years old. I’ve got a 24-year-old. Between the ages of 19 and 24, there’s been plenty of things my kid has said that I wish he hadn’t. The bottom line is that cooler heads prevailed.”
The 19-year-old in question has since decided that he wants to focus on his music career.
During the upcoming season Jones will infrequently join co-stars Ashton Kutcher and Jon Cryer, who have both signed one-year contracts.
Despite the fact that Kutcher was brought on as the lead actor to replace Charlie Sheen, he has been seriously upstaged by Cryer–who took home a Primetime Emmy in 2012 for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series.
That said, we’d love to know what the network is paying Cryer versus Kutcher for season 11.
