Twitter experienced an avalanche of congratulatory messages after the apprehension of 19-year-old terrorist suspect Dzhokar Tsamaev Friday night.
The praise began shortly after Boston Police tweeted, “CAPTURED!!! The hunt is over. The search is done. The terror is over. And justice has won. Suspect in Custody.”
Boston Fire Department followed up with: “Pause for a minute for all the victims. Some have a very long road ahead. Our collective support will ease it. #BostonStrong”
Massachusetts native Maria Shriver wrote, “Boston did what it needed to do. Finished the race. As I said, no messing with Bean Town.”
Suzanne Somers: “God Bless Boston and God Bless America.”
‘DWTS’ co-host Tom Bergeron tweeted, “A lot of Boston cops and other authorities will be getting well deserved hugs and high fives tonight.”
Rosie O’Donnell offered up a message directly to @BostonPolice, “Many thanks for all ur good work – well done.”
