Country crooner Janelle Arthur was eliminated last night on ‘American Idol’ after the judges were split down the middle on her fate and opted not to use their Save.
Landing in the bottom two along with Arthur was fellow country artist Kree Harrison, who looked visibly unnerved by the prospect of getting the ‘Idol’ boot.
The 23-year-old Tennessee native sang ‘You Keep Me Hanging On’ but was unable to convince the majority of the panelists to bring her back for another week.
Janelle’s Wednesday night performances were Vince Gill’s ‘When I Call Your Name’ and Dolly Parton’s ‘Dumb Blonde.’
The all-girl Top Four, comprised of Candice Glover, Amber Holcomb, Angie Miller and Kree Harrison, will sing a rendition from a ‘One-Hit Wonder’ next week as well as a ‘Contestant’s Choice’ selection.
