We have heard in the past that working for Courtney Love isn’t all that it’s “cracked” up to be. Love’s former assistant has filed a lawsuit against the singer for being a very bad boss.

Jessica LaBrie was Courtney’s former assistant from June 2010 to July 2011 and claims Love “acted with an improper and evil motive amounting to malice or despicable conduct.”

The lawsuit filed with the L.A. County Superior Court claims that Love withheld her salary because LaBrie refused to commit “fraudulent, unlawful and unethical acts.”

Among the things the assistant refused to do: hire a computer hacker and send out forged legal documents. The disgruntled former employee claims she worked 60 hours per week and only received compensation for a fraction of her time.

She is seeking unspecified damages for alleged wrongful termination, failure to pay wages and overtime, negligent misrepresentation, breach of contract and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

LaBrie has been busy chronicling the entire fiasco in a tell-all titled “Get Me a Xanax.” Determined to get her pound of flesh one way or the other, Jessica is currently shopping the book.
