Gotta love Kid Rock, who would rather beg forgiveness than seek permission. Last week the singer lit up a cigar while taking in the Travis Tritt show at the Andiamo Celebrity Showroom in Warren, MI, a smoke-free venue.
It happens all the time but when you are a celebrity all hell breaks loose. The Born Free hit maker claims his drunken state caused him to throw caution to the wind and illegally smoke his stogie while taking in the country music performance.
Kid spoke with TMZ about his bad judgement, “My most sincere apologies to the patrons I may have offended, and a big middle finger in advance to all the haters and lawyers who will somehow try to find an easy paycheck in all this… I doubt I’m the first one to ever make a bad decision while being intoxicated.”
One concert-goer, a 58-year-old gentleman with asthma, isn’t accepting the public apology. He plans to file a formal complaint with the city health department officials. Can a civil lawsuit be far behind?
