Betty White‘s 90th birthday bash was a star-studded tribute to America’s Golden Girl, with appearances and performances from some of Hollywood’s biggest stars.
“A Tribute to America’s Golden Girl,” a television special taped in early January, aired Monday night on NBC.
Amy Poehler kicked off the celebration calling White a pioneer. “I call her a pioneer because 90 years ago she literally arrived to California on stage coach.”
White received pre-taped birthday wishes from Ellen DeGeneres, Morgan Freeman, Jay Leno, Brad Garrett, Tina Fey, Tracy Morgan, Hugh Jackman, Ray Romano, and even President Obama.
“I can’t believe you’re 90 years old. Will you please produce a copy of your long-form birth certificate?” joked Obama.
Those attending the birthday celebration in person included Mary Tyler Moore, Ed Asner, Carol Burnett, and White’s “Hot in Cleveland” co-stars, Wendie Malick, Valerie Bertinelli and Jane Leeves.
