Dolly Parton hit the red carpet last night for the Hollywood premiere of her new movie musical Joyful Noise.

Dare we suggest that the 65-year-old country singer sparkled as she joined her co-stars, including Queen Latifah, at the Grauman’s Chinese Theatre event.

The movie weaves of tale of two strong-willed women who butt heads over which of them should be the small-town gospel choir director.

The 9 to 5 actress is one of the most successful female country artists of all time, having started her career in 1955.

Parton married her husband Carl Thomas Dean in 1966. They recently celebrated their 45th anniversary. She shared, “We’re really proud of our marriage. It the first for both of us. And the last.”

The singer owns Dollywood theme park in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. She found herself in the midst of a controversy last year when two lesbians were not permitted to wear t-shirts that favored gay marriage into the park. They were told to turn them inside out or leave.
