Casey Anthony cried from her courtroom seat upon learning that she was acquitted of first-degree murder in the 2008 death of her 2-year-old daughter Caylee Anthony.

The jury listened to six weeks of testimony and needed less than 11 hours of deliberation before deciding that the young mother wasn’t guilty of the most serious charge against her.

The 25-year-old was tried on six other counts — aggravated child abuse, aggravated manslaughter of a child and four counts of providing false information to a law-enforcement officer.

The jury did convict her of four counts of providing false information to police.

The little girl was last seen June 16, 2008, but was not reported missing until July 15, 2008, when Casey Anthony’s mother, Cindy Anthony, tracked her daughter down and demanded answers.

The prosecution alleged that Casey Anthony used chloroform on her daughter, then applied duct-tape to her mouth and nose to suffocate her. They tried to prove that the child’s body had been in the trunk of her car for several days prior to being dumped in a secluded location.
