Can you imagine being interrogated about the safety of your newborn … even before you leave the hospital? Mariah Carey gave birth to twins Monroe and Moroccan on April 30, and hubby Nick Cannon was questioned by L.A. County Child Protective Services.
In a interview with Pier Morgan Tonight on CNN, Nick said that he received a visit from the above mentioned agency regarding the welfare of the twins. CPS reportedly received word that there had been drug and alcohol use while Mariah was in the hospital.
So what really happened? Nick said, “It all started when a nurse suggested to my wife that if you drink Guinness, the dark beer, the yeast improves breast feeding. I don’t know if someone heard that (and) were saying that my wife was drinking beer. People will do anything to conjure up a story.”
Upset by even having to justify their conversations after bringing two beautiful babies into the world, Cannon went on to say: “It’s sad at the end of the day…. when you think about people trying to make a buck off newborn babies.”
