Rapper Gucci Mane, aka Radric Davis, was arrested in Atlanta on Friday morning in response to claims that he threw a girl out of a moving vehicle some months ago.
The incident occurred in January 2011 and a warrant was later issued for his arrest. That finally occurred today during a visit to his probation office at the Georgia Department of Corrections Probation Office, where he was taken into custody by the DeKalb County Fugitive Squad.
The misdemeanor battery charge constitutes a parole violation stemming from a 2005 aggravated assault conviction. The musician is being held at DeKalb county jail on $5,000 bond until he appears before a judge tomorrow.
Mane got some new ink in January after his release from a psychiatric hospital. He had a triple-decker ice cream cone tattooed onto his cheek – photos here.
