Definitely not a winning moment for the Warlock …

Charlie Sheen kicked off his My Violent Torpedo of Truth/Death is Not an Option Tour last night in Detroit and his performance was heavily panned by disgruntled attendees.

The actor’s Twitter guru uploaded Twitpic images of the Fox Theater marquee, Charlie at the podium and even a crowd scene from the packed arena.

Now for the bad news. According to TMZ, it was not a WINNING performance. The Warlock opened things up with a Q&A session — chatting it up about porn stars and crack cocaine. He played clips from a previous interview and ripped it to shreds. So far … so good, right?

He began to lose the crowd of 5,000 at the 30 minute mark, when cheers turned to jeers and people began walking out — demanding their money back. At that point Charlie turned things over to rapper Simon Rex…in an attempt to get the audience back in the game, but it didn’t happen.

A last ditch effort came when the new Snoop Dogg track Winning played, and it did seem to get the crowd fired up but that was short-lived when they realized that Snoop wasn’t in the house and Charlie wasn’t coming back on stage.

The crowd starting walking out … which prompted the house lights to be turned on, a clear signal that the $150 per ticket event was definitely over.

A few hangers-on were rewarded with a brief return by Charlie. He asked them all to move up and fill in the seats, but suddenly he wasn’t happy with the audio and fled the scene.

The show was reportedly confusing, unscripted, unrehearsed and unfunny. This doesn’t bode well for the nineteen other scheduled venues. The next stop is the Windy City. The upside is that the group heading to The Chicago Theater on Sunday night have been warned!
