In the ‘Fight for the Finale’ Tuesday, May 18, 2010 on the FOX hit reality show American Idol, Lee DeWyze owned the night with his two songs. His first performance was a song he chose, “Simple Man”. His second selection, “Hallelujah” was made for him by Simon Cowell.
The Idol judges gave him high marks for his first song and raved about his second. Randy called “Hallelujah” Lee’s “biggest moment”. Ellen said his performance was “stunning”. Kara declared it an “incredible epic moment” and Simon tied the bow with: “I’m very proud of you. Tonight you proved you are a great performer.”
