After going three rounds with Josh Koscheck during UFC 113, and spending the majority of the time on his back, Paul Daley decided to get in his licks after the bell signaled that the official action was over.
He waited until Koscheck turned his back and then hauled off and sucker punched him with a left hook. The cheap shot cost him dearly.
Even before the post-fight press conference, UFC president Dana White was quick to say: “He’s done. I don’t care if he’s the best 170-pounder in the world, he’ll never fight in the UFC again.”
Koscheck, who won the bout by a unanimous decision, said that he may have baited Daley with some verbal taunting late in the fight but he didn’t plan to lose any sleep over the fact that his opponent has been given the boot.
