It’s gotta to be a game of some sort… some kind of high brought on by running from the law? What else could possibly be the reason behind Randy and Evi Quaid skipping out on yet two more court dates for felony charges in Santa Monica, California?
The pair are now wanted fugitives in the State of California. Santa Barbara Senior Deputy District Attorney Lee Carter said, “If they’re picked up in California, they will be put in jail. They cannot be released on bail until they come back here and a judge agrees to set bail for them.”
The initial charges of defrauding an innkeeper were brought on after the couple skipped out on paying a $10,000 hotel bill last June. This week’s court dates were not the only hearings they have skipped. In the past they have managed to save themselves in the eleventh hour by posting bond.
The list of lawyers for the Quaid’s is mounting as well. Each new legal representative promises that the couple will show up in court — which never happens.
After their latest no-show on Tuesday, the judge has issued a no-bail warrant and Carter says, “The warrant will go nationwide. Anyone out there that comes in contact with them can pick up our warrant and start their own felony fugitive case.”
FYI — “Dog the Bounty Hunter” is my favorite guilty pleasure – watch out Quaid’s! We have a photo gallery below so that you can see their different looks. Happy hunting!
