Michael Vick spoke with James Brown on CBS’s 60 Minutes on Sunday. In the interview Vick talks about his two years in prison and the culture he lived in that led up to operating a dog fighting ring.
“You were convicted of beating them, shooting them, electrocuting them, drowning them – horrific things, Michael,” Brown said, as Vick listened, his face expressionless.
“It’s wrong. I don’t know how many times I gotta say it. It was wrong and I feel tremendous hurt about what happened. I should’ve took the initiative to stop it all, and I didn’t,” Vick said. “I feel so bad about that now, and I know that I didn’t step up. I wasn’t a leader.”
Vick was recently signed by the Philidelphia Eagles, causing outrage among fans.
