Controversial reality show mom Kate Gosselin, of Jon & Kate Plus 8 fame, has traveled the country on a promotional tour for Multiple Bles8ings: Surviving to Thriving with Twins and Sextuplets and well as for her recently released Eight Little Faces. There is a third book in the works that will hit store shelves on October 13, 2009.
The yet to be released cookbook is titled Love Is in the Mix: Making Meals into Memories. Interestingly, the back cover promotes the book by saying, “Fans won’t want to miss this inside look at one of America’s most famous close-knit families.”
Love Is in the Mix will offer recipes and tips on ‘organic’ meal preparation, and will include family photos and anecdotes about the Gosselin children. The advance hype indicates the book will show readers “how to craft family traditions that create happy memories.”
The book is already receiving some harsh criticism, particularly in light of the muddled mess that has landed Jon Gosselin and his wife in the center of a media storm of controversy. The initial revelations dealt with affairs by both parents, he with third grade teacher Deanna Hummel, she with her distinguished looking bodyguard Steve Neild.
Since that time, family members have turned on Jon and Kate too. Perhaps most vocal and closest to the situation have been Kate’s brother Kevin Kreider and his wife Jodi, who are deeply saddened that their nieces and nephews are being exploited by their parents and TLC. They have granted several interviews, including one yesterday on The Early Show with Harry Smith on CBS – see that video here.
Season 5 kicked off on Monday, May 25. Check out a recap of that very troubling episode here.
We’ve included a recent family photo and video where Kate talks about her book tour below. After the photo was taken, Kate reportedly got teary-eyed, thinking it might be the last family photo including her estranged husband, who is currently living in a garage apartment on their property.
