One would assume that if comedian Jackie Mason had the chance to take back his recent “racist” reference to the President he would, but apparently not. During his performance at the Loews Regency in NYC, the funnyman called President Barack Obama “schwartza” which translates in Yiddish to “black man.”

Now, some are saying that it is no different than Jackie calling him the “N” word. During his act he also went on about how white people have no freedom of speech. Even throwing fellow comedian Chris Rock under the bus, he said that he can trash whites without apologizing or having any criticism thrown his way.

The crowd at Loews were less than impressed with Mason. One attendee left saying, “He’s more offensive to the Jews than Madoff tonight.”

TMZ contacted Jackie, who is outraged and said that he will not defend himself. Trying to take some heat off of himself he said that Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton are “professional racists.” See that video below.

Not surprising Al Sharpton was happy to give TMZ a statement:

“At this stage in Jackie’s life and career he should get our prayers more than our responses. It is sad that maybe he forgot he used the same term against Mayor David Dinkins when he was elected the first African-American Mayor of New York City and got in trouble for it. As for him attacking me, maybe he forgot that he has had me on his TV show and has taken me to dinner and commended me for forgiving a white male who tried to kill me by stabbing me while I was leading a non-violent march. I’m sure Jackie just forgot.”

It looks to us like Jackie and Al got exactly what the both wanted…a little more time in the spotlight.
