Saturday Night Live featured a John McCain skit last night. McCain, played by Darrell Hammond, approved numerous campaign ads – most with absurd claims about Barack Obama. The skit is said to be the brainchild of Al Franken, a former writer and actor on SNL. He is now a Democratic candidate running for U.S. Senate against incumbent Minnesota Republican Senator Norm Coleman.

Now Tina Fey‘s take on Sarah Palin last week was dead on – except that Fey’s ears were a little too prominent. Word has it that the custom wig that was created for the skit caused her ears to spring forth. They used glue and any number of other tricks to tame them into a flatter profile but without much success.
