Country singer Chris Cagle was arrested at 4:40am this morning along with his girlfriend, Jennifer Tant after partying at Players Inn, in Bellevue community just west of Nashville.
Police reports state that the couple got into a verbal dispute after leaving the Players Inn and it escalated into a physical altercation once the couple arrived at Cagle’s home.
It sounds like the pair grabbed whatever they could to defend themselves because Chris had a bump on his head from being hit with an umbrella and Tant had a cut on her lip and a sore arm from being hit with her purse. Not surprising, the reports say that the two were intoxicated at the time of the fight.
Because both showed signs of abuse, both were arrested and will stay in jail until today at 4:40p.m. Bond for each will be $1500. Under Tennessee state domestic laws they are both considered the primary aggressor.
This is not Cagle’s first altercation with the law. Chris will stand trial on Sept. 23 in Tucson for a misdemeanor assault charge that took place outside a nightclub in Tucson, Ariz. Allegedly Chris punched Mark Barry after Barry’s girlfriend became verbally abusive to Cagle for refusing to sign an autograph.
