On Saturday night, August 16, 2008, Ellen DeGeneres and fiancee Portia de Rossi will wed in a small, intimate ceremony with a few close family and friends.
“Their wedding is definitely happening,” and Saturday is the big night according to Page Six: “Twenty people were invited,” said a source, who noted, “Portia is wearing a flowing, form-fitting dress by Zac Posen.”
Us magazine broke the story on Thursday, saying the couple will wed this weekend in California.
Of the preparations, Ellen joked, “Planning a wedding is very stressful. It’s crazy. My gardener is now invited.”
Ellen, 50, and Portia, 35, have been dating since December 2004 and announced their plan to wed on a taped episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show in May, which aired the same day California’s Supreme Court struck down a California law banning gay marriage.
