Christie Brinkley graces the cover of New York Magazine’s August 25th issue. She shares the double cover with Spanish pro tennis player Rafael Nadal.
Brinkley divorced her fourth husband, Peter Cook, earlier this summer. The proceedings became a public spectacle that ultimately ended in a back room negotiation that gave Brinkley primary custody of their children and control of 18 properties that were being contested. Cook reportedly received a payment of $2.1 million with unspecified visitation rights.
Nadal is currently ranked No. 1 in the world after winning a gold medal at the Beijing Olympics on Monday, beating Chili’s Fernando Gonzalez. Couple that with five Grand Slam singles titles under his belt, he’s definitely on a roll, having won the last four French Open titles as well as Wimbledon in 2008.
