Singer Gavin Rossdale has been working with Esquire magazine’s Hollywood Hills House to celebrate music in the public school system in Los Angeles.
Since 1997 this non-profit organization has been helping to restore music education programs in American public schools. So far $43 million in musical instruments have been given to 1,600 public schools in over 100 cities around the country. This wonderful gift of music has impacted over 1.2 million students.
Research has proven that when a child plays a musical instrument, they enhance their critical thinking skills and their ability to work as a team. Engagement in school is key in keeping children from dropping out.
West Hollywood was filled with famous faces last night, helping to raise awareness and raising money for this wonderful foundation.
