Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick are expecting twins.
The “Sex and the City” star and her husband “are happily anticipating the birth of their twin daughters later this summer with the generous help of a surrogate. The entire family is overjoyed,” said a statement from their publicists.
According to a friend of the couple, they have been trying to expand their family since the birth of 6-year-old son James, but have been unsuccessful.
“They came to the conclusion that this was going to be the best alternative for expanding their family,” the friend told Entertainment Weekly.
Parker is currently filming “Did You Hear About the Morgans?” with Hugh Grant.
Broderick’s latest film “Wonderful World” premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival earlier this week, and he is currently starring in “The Philanthropist” on Broadway.
