For all of you Gossip Girl lovers out there, you’ll soon be getting another opportunity to see Ed Westwick on the big screen. Snagging the role as Heathcliff in the new version of Wuthering Heights, Westwick will co-star with Bond girl Gemma Arterton, who will play Cathy.
This project has seen many changes. Initially, actress Natalie Portman was signed on but had to back out because of scheduling conflicts. Then Abbie Cornish was brought in, only to be replaced by Gemma.
This will be an Ecosse Film adaption of the Emily Bronte classic Wuthering Heights. The movie will be produced by Robert Bernstein and Douglas Rae.
