After the actress repeatedly denied rumors of an imminent split, a rep for Vanessa Minnillo has finally confirmed that the model and television star has indeed ended her three-year relationship with actor Nick Lachey. A prepared statement said: “They have amicably split but remain good friends who care greatly for one another…it was the right thing for both of them to do.”
In April 2009 the buzz indicated that Minnillo and her 2008 Disaster Movie co-star Matt Lanter were having a fling. The actress down-played those rumors, saying the relationship with Lachey was solid and even hinted that an engagement was possible…which, as it turned out, was just smoke and mirrors.
The couple became an item in 2006 following closely on the heels of Lachey’s divorce from Jessica Simpson in 2005.
