Britney Spears is not dead…neither are Ellen DeGeneres or Sean “Diddy” Combs.

The three entertainers had their TwitPic accounts hacked over the weekend, and the hackers posted messages claiming they had died.

“Britney has passed today,” read one of the messages. “It is a sad day for everyone. More news to come.”

TwitPic, a Charleston, SC based company, which is not owned by Twitter, allows users to upload photos. The company shut down part of its service on Sunday after the hacking was discovered.

Britney updated her Twitter account with a message that reads, “Britney’s Twitter was just hacked. The last message is obviously not true. She is fine and dandy spending a quiet day at home relaxing.”
