In April of 2008, we reported that Different Strokes star Gary Coleman and his wife Shannon Price were thinking about ending their marriage of less than a year. They have managed to hold it together thus far but trouble continues to brew for the pair.
Shannon was arrested near the couple’s Santaquin, Utah home on Tuesday night for disorderly conduct and domestic violence. She was taken to the police station and booked on two misdemeanor counts and released on a $1,205 bond. No worries though because Gary was not hurt in the ordeal. We’re told there were just a few household item that got smashed in the ruckus.
Right from the start of their marriage it seemed to the rest of the world that their union might not be a match made in heaven. In May of 2008 they took their issues straight to TV and appeared on Divorce Court in front of Judge Lynn Toler. Their goal was to save the marriage.
It appears they actually were divorced on August 12, 2008 — and never remarried.
Check out Shannon’s booking photo here. The woman looks like she’s got a real attitude. We’re just saying….
UPDATE: May 27, 2010 – Gary Coleman suffered an intercranial brain hemorrhage after a fall at home and died after being removed from total life support this morning. Another case of domestic abuse?
Listen to the Gary Coleman 911 call below. Shannon Price was absolutely no help to the stricken actor. What’s more, it appears that she had no authority to make medical decisions for the former child star – including the removal of life support last Friday. The medical examiner is taking a second look into the case to determine whether a crime may have been committed.
