Victoria “Vicki” Reggie Kennedy, widow of U.S. Senator Edward Moore “Ted” Kennedy, sat down for her first televised interview with Oprah Winfrey that will air on Wednesday, November 25, 2009.

The 55-year-old Louisiana native is a lawyer who first met her future husband when she interned in his Senate office’s mailroom following her college graduation. It wasn’t until 1991 that they reconnected and began dating. They were married in July 1992.

Kennedy was a devoted father to her children from a previous marriage, Curran Raclin and Caroline Raclin, who were 10 and 7 at the time of the marriage. Vicki’s step-children are Kara Kennedy Allen, Ted Kennedy Jr., and Patrick Kennedy.
