TMZ reports that Michael Jackson’s personal physician Dr. Conrad Murray stopped administering CPR and delayed calling paramedics to collect vials of drugs.
Jackson’s bodyguard, Alberto Alvarez, told investigators he was summoned to the pop star’s side as he was dying June 25. Alvarez says he rushed to Jackson’s room and saw him lying in bed with his eyes and mouth wide open and an IV attached to his leg. Alvarez said he showed no signs of life.
Two of Jackson’s children, Paris and Prince, also entered Jackson’s bedroom, crying as they watched Dr. Murray administer CPR to their father. A nanny was summoned to remove the children from the room.
Alvarez claims Murray gathered vials of drugs which he handed to Alvarez and instructed him to put them in a plastic bag. The guard also says Murray told him to place the IV, which contained a white milky substance, in a canvas bag.
Alvarez also says he witnessed Murray rushing to hide propofol containers in what appeared to be a secret compartment in a closet in the singer’s home. Bottles of the drug we discovered there later by authorities.
The report also states that after Jackson was pronounced dead at UCLA Medical Center, Murray said he needed to go back to the mansion to get cream Jackson had “so the world wouldn’t find out about it.” The statement did not get more specific.
