Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Percy Harvin will remain hospitalized overnight after collapsing during practice with a migraine.
Harvin was watching practice Thursday at the team’s Winter Park facility, when he vomited and fell to the ground trembling. He was loaded into an ambulance and taken to the Hennepin County Medical Center, where he will remain overnight.
Harvin has a history of migraines, and Vikings Head Coach Brad Childress said this “episode” was the worst he had ever seen.
“Percy appreciates everyone’s concern. He is alert and resting comfortably, but will remain in the hospital overnight,” Childress said in a statement.
The former Florida Gators receiver was a first-round draft choice by the Vikings, and named the NFL’s offensive rookie of the year last season.
