Charlie Sheen was taken to the hospital by ambulance around 1:30 am Tuesday after reportedly yelling and throwing furniture in his hotel room at the Plaza Hotel in New York City.
The “Two and a Half Men” actor was in New York City to spend time with his ex-wife Denise Richards and their two daughters, who were staying in a separate hotel room.
In an interview with Howard Stern this morning, Richards said “it’s been a very eventful trip…I have a lot of crap to deal with,” without going into specifics.
According to reports, Sheen was doing cocaine with a prostitute in his room, and freaked out when he couldn’t find his wallet. He accused the hooker of taking it, and began yelling and trashing the hotel room. As things got louder and louder, an unidentified person called police to report an “emotionally disturbed individual” in the building.
Sheen was reportedly passed out on the bed half naked when police arrived, while the escort was “fearing for her life” naked in the closet. He willingly went to the hospital, where he is currently undergoing evaluation.
Sheen’s rep issued a statement saying: “What we are able to determine is that Charlie had an adverse reaction to some medication and was taken to the hospital, where he is expected to be released tomorrow.”
Sheen has not been arrested or charged with anything.
