Yesterday was another crazy day in the life of Two and a Half Men star Charlie Sheen. After an alleged “allergic reaction” to medication, Sheen spent 24 hours at a hospital for psychiatric observation before getting on a plane and heading back to L.A. to resume his normal work schedule.
Reports indicate that the intoxicated actor had dinner on Monday evening with friends. His ex-wife Denise Richards joined the group for a short while before things got wild and she excused herself.
Charlie brought one of the dinner guests, a call girl, back to his hotel room and that is when things got out of hand. According to her, Charlie was using cocaine when he became enraged, accusing the prostitute of stealing his wallet. She locked herself in a closet to escape his meltdown.
He trashed the room – photos here. When the police arrived on the scene Sheen was passed out half-naked on the bed. They gave him the option of going to a hospital or to jail. He opted for a medical facility and was accompanied by his ex-wife, who was staying in the same hotel.
Richards has been in New York City doing the talk show circuit. She and her daughters Sam and Lola have also been spending time with Sheen and reportedly have been enjoying their family bonding with trips to the Mary Poppins musical and the American Girl Store. Denise talked guardedly about the incident with Joy Behar.
Manager Mark Burg said, “Charlie will be working this week doing a cameo role, playing himself, in a small movie as a favor to a friend and has every intention of going back to work on Two and a Half Men on Tuesday.” He also added that Charlie is looking forward to working.
