Actress and Celebrity Apprentice 4 standout Marlee Matlin has put her Los Angeles home on the market and pulled her kids out of private school because she owes the IRS $50,000 in back taxes.

Matlin, 45, is married to a Burbank police officer, Kevin Grandalski. The couple met when she was working on the film Reasonable Doubts and he was providing set security. They have four children: Sarah, 15, Brandon, 10, Tyler, 8, and Isabella, 7.

The couple are asking $899,000 for their modest, five-bedroom, 2,600 square foot home in the suburb of Pasadena. She claims they don’t live an extravagant lifestyle and are simply facing the same issues as other families across the nation.

Matlin said: “It’s reality. It’s the reality that a lot of people in America are facing. We have always made ends meet in the past — and we will in this circumstance as well.”

The talented actress was first discovered by Henry Winkler, who cast her in the lead role in Children of a Lesser God. The 21-year-old was the first deaf actress to receive a Golden Globe and Academy Award in the Best Actress category for her portrayal.

Regarding her stint on Celebrity Apprentice, she is one of the Final Four players … and stands a good chance of making it to the finale. We predict that she will go up against country crooner John Rich in the final mega task that usually involved orchestrating a golf event at Trump International or putting on a high-profile charity show.
