Singer Jewel and her bull riding husband Ty Murray welcomed a newborn son, Kase Townes Murray, on Monday evening in Texas.
Their first born weighed in at 7 lbs., 6 oz., and arrived on the scene at 7:00 p.m. CST.
The talented musician told People magazine: “Ty and I are so please to welcome our new baby boy into the world. We are overcome with happiness — it really is as great as everyone told us it would be — better even!”
Murray and Jewell live on a 2,200-acre farm in Stephenville, Texas. They’ve been busy converting a guest room into a nursery, and the songstress has also been putting the finishing touches on a new children’s album, The Merry Goes ‘Round, due out in August.
