Olivia Wilde covers the August issue of Marie Claire and dare we suggest that girlfriend looks flawless. Not surprising really when you consider that she was named the ‘Hottest Woman Alive’ by Maxim in 2009.
In her latest interview, the actress opens up about her recent divorce: “Even though it didn’t work, there’s nothing I regret about any of it, we’re friends; his family is my family. You always have a choice to feel angry and not be friends. But I can’t handle the idea of walking into a room and seeing someone I have bad blood with. I can’t keep any negative relationship with anyone.”
So is she dating after her failed eight year marriage with Tao Ruspoli? She admits: “I’m trying to be adult, entering the shark pool of dating, but I’m hopeless at it.”
That description may be a bit extreme since she’s been seen in the company of Justin Timberlake, Bradley Cooper and author Salman Rushdie following her split. Definitely not hopeless.
The House star is very passionate about world issues and she makes it clear: “I’d like to refocus everyone’s attention away from the Kardashians and onto Doctors Without Borders or aid workers. Let’s redefine scandal. “
She went on to explain: “Scandal is not who so-and-so is dating; scandal is the fact that 1.2 million people are still living in tents in Haiti, and cholera is rampant because Nepalese U.N. soldiers dumped sh*t from their Porta-Potties into the river, that’s a f**king scandal.”
The world’s obsession with reality TV and Hollywood makes her disappointed: “If the average 15-year-old was hearing about that instead of so-and-so’s plastic surgery or cheating in Hollywood, I’d feel better about our future.”
