Things got decidedly dicey during a British Parliament session on Tuesday, when an interloper tried to serve Rupert Murdoch a face full of shaving cream.
The 80-year-old publisher was answering questions before a House of Select Committee regarding a phone hacking scandal at the now defunct tabloid News of the World, when a man appeared wielding a pie plate filled with shaving foam.
While uttering: “You’re a greedy billionaire”, Jonathan May-Bowles aka Jonnie Marbles, attempted to hit Murdoch in the face. The attempt was thwarted and May-Bowles was led away in handcuffs, with shaving cream all over his own mug.
The attacker posted a cryptic Twitter message prior to the incident:
