Clothing giant Abercrombie & Fitch is known for heavily promoting a luxury lifestyle concept with the use of “edgy, preppy tone and imagery.” They have a big problem with Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino.

In a news release posted Tuesday, A&F issued a statement suggesting that the Jersey Shore reality star is hurting their brand. They claim ‘The Situation’ is causing them “significant damage” that goes against the “aspirational nature” of the brand and is quite likely “distressing” to customers.

The Ohio-based retailer hopes to resolve this epic travesty by offering a “substantial payment” to Sorrentino and his fellow cast members, and the producers at MTV. They want the Jersey Shore house mates to stop wearing clothing from the Abercrombie line.

In a contrasting viewpoint, FLOW formal wear, based in New York, recently signed a six-figure deal with ‘The Situation’ to showcase their luxury line of tuxedos.

In the case of Abercrombie, can Sorrentino be bought? Do we smell a publicity stunt?
