Lea Michele and Ashton Kutcher are caught in an elevator in the holiday flick New Year’s Eve. Their recent red carpet premiere appearances and interviews suggest they might be ripe for romance in real life too.
There is just something about them that shouts sexual tension and strong chemistry. Not only do the Glee celeb, 25, and the Two and a Half Men star, 33, look great together, but they appear to have genuinely connected during the making of the Garry Marshall series of romantic vignettes featuring a star-studded ensemble cast.
In this entertaining comedy that showcases the state of romance, Randy, a comic book illustrator, gets stuck in an elevator with aspiring actress Elise. They spend nearly the entire movie trying to come up with things to keep them occupied in the tiny space.
While sitting down for a recent interview, the duo was asked what New Year’s Eve means to them. She talked about the opportunity for starting over and beginning anew. He quipped, “I think it’s a bitchin’ excuse for a party.”
That prompted her to ask, “What are you going to do for New Year’s? Why don’t you come celebrate with my big Italian family and me? They would die.” He didn’t commit — at least on this particular video.
NYE was released – trailer here – on Thursday with a disappointing weekend gross of $13.7 million, but is expected to make up for the slow start with three more weekends before year end.
If you doubt the sexual chemistry of Lea Michele and Ashton, just take a peek at the interview after the jump. Move the slider to 5:00 to hear her ask him to come home with her on December 31:
