Ivanka Trump and her husband Jared Kushner announced, via social media, the arrival of their second child, a son. He was born at a Manhattan hospital on Monday, Oct. 14.
She tweeted, “We just welcomed a beautiful & healthy son into the world. Jared, Arabella and I couldn’t be happier!”
This momentous family event prompted Donald Trump to share the news with his Twitter followers, “My beautiful daughter Ivanka just had a healthy baby boy. Jared and Ivanka are very proud!”
He added a short while later, “Thanks to all for the wonderful congratulations sent to me on the birth of Ivanka’s little boy – so nice!”
The 31-year-old mother told a reporter not long ago that her two-year-old daughter was starting to doubt there really was a baby on the way. “She’s really excited and borderline impatient at this point because I started talking about it around six to seven months and she hasn’t waited that long for anything in her life. I think she’s starting to mistrust me.”
Kushner, 32, is the owner of The New York Observer in Bedminster, New Jersey. Ivanka converted to Judaism four years ago in preparation for their Oct. 25, 2009 wedding.
Fun Fact: Kushner is a major contributor to the Democratic party — which must certainly irk his staunch Republican father-in-law.
