On Wednesday, we learned that Amber Rose has filed for divorce from Wiz Khalifa.
The split was sudden, they haven’t been married for very long, and there have been accusations of infidelity on both sides. In other words, it looks like it’ll be a messy one.
Within hours of the news going public, Amber confirmed that Wiz had cheated on her on Twitter.
According to the terms of their prenup, Amber was due to receive a $1 million lump sum payment and $5,000 in monthly child support. But she wanted more.
Amber is fighting for sole custody of the couple’s one-year-old son, Sebastian.
As of today, Amber and Wiz in a locked in a bitter custody battle, and it looks like this time, Amber won’t get her way.
In California, it’s very difficult to deny parental rights to a partner, unless it can be proved that they’re unfit to raise a child.
Infidelity won’t be enough, and the court will likely view Amber’s request as an act of vengeance.
So yeah, like we said, things are about to get ugly. Hopefully these two can settle things with minimal trauma to their very young son.
