Star magazine did it, so why can’t a local weekly that’s half culture guide, half-Village Voice do it? They can, it turns out: The L Magazine is going glossy. From the release:
Upon reaching its Third Anniversary (April 30, 2006) The L Magazine ???????? NYC????????s pocket-sized city guide to arts and culture ???????? decided to become much, much shinier. As of tomorrow, May 24, The L is upgrading from newsprint to glossy paper. Publisher N. Scott Stedman enthusiastically notes: ???????Less smudging.???????
