Twist Magazine

Twists shows how teen mags survive online

So, we know that we just suggested teens may take a break from MySpace to check out Elle Girl online, but, maybe we should call take backs?

Instead of competing with MySpace, other teen mags are taking the drastic step of joining them. Twist magazine, Bauer’s throwback to the mag industry’s glory days of the 80’s, is reaching their ideal audience through a MySpace profile.

Twist is 19, has 170 friends, is single, and does not drink or smoke. (Losers.) Maybe instead of offering an alternative to MySpace, Elle Girl should make a profile, and simply offer an alternative to the slutty porn star pictures the other 19-year-olds are oh so fond of.
