Diana Ross drops out of MAC cosmetics deal

With publicity parties and television spots already planned, Diana Ross pulled out of her agreement with MAC to launch a line of cosmeceutical products bearing her name. It turns out she’s not a fan of the names of the colors picked out for her items. Execs are trying to convince her to hop back on the project, though MAC reps insist the new line will debut as planned. No word yet on whether they’re willing to change “bloodshot red,” “cocaine white” and “bruise blue” to something the screaming diva will accept.
