Sick of wading through the uglies in the typical online dating pools? Well, thanks to Jason Pellegrino, those days are over. Pellegrino, 33, was tired of those “butterfaces” and cankle queens dominating traditional matchmaking sites, so he created his own restrictive online dating community, HotEnough.org, dedicated strictly to the genetically advanced—and there’s nary an Ugly Betty in sight. Here’s how Pellegrino keeps out the pear-shaped plebs and ensures that his client??le are of the vapid, superficial and “dumb blond” variety:
Those who yearn to mingle with the beautiful people on HotEnough must submit three pictures. One must be a full-length shot to rule out undercover fatties. “There are some girls out there who have a real pretty face but may be on the heavy side. Unfortunately, that’s not what we’re going for,” Pellegrino said.
If you make the cut, current members then get to rate you. You don’t have to be a perfect 10, but you must have a total score of eight or hotter to qualify.
You see, the way the site works is, any prospective member of the online community must be deemed “an 8, or hotter” by the majority of pre-existing members.
And yet, Pelegrino’s progressive elitism raises a simple, yet obvious question: were he not the founder of HotEnough.org, would he, Pellegrino, have made the cut? Jossip investigates after the jump!
According to this article on CNN.com, Pellegrino himself is ranked at an 8.2 on the “attractiveness scale.” But we’re inclined to disregard that number, given Pellegrino’s position as site creater/maintainer, and his unfettered access to the website’s controls. Therefore, we opted to conduct an independent analysis, modeling our critique on Pellegrino’s own rating system, and sought to find three photographs of Pellegrino* on which to base our assessment.
But wait? A half-hour internet search reveals only a single, solitary picture.** But why the dearth of photos? Surely HotEnough.com’s comely spokesman would be eager to smile for the camera and personally attest to the level of attractiveness expected of dating hopefuls? After seeing the photographic evidence (below) we’re not so sure.
Note the dopey smile, receding hairline, shiny forehead and Jay Leno chin on our magnate of hotness. (Not to mention the over-gelled hair, complete absence of neck and dorky pairing of black blazer and red t-shirt). Yep, suddenly Mr. Jason “My left eye is popping out of my face!” Pellegrino isn’t exactly looking like the 8.2 he’s cracked up to be.
So what’s really going on here? Why is the one, unattractive photo of Pellegrino the only existing testament to his “good” looks? Is he really an 8.2 or has he been abusing his executive powers? And assuming he’s not the adonis he claims to be, does that further impede HotEnough.org’s already shaky credibility?
If you have an opinion as to Pellegrino’s overall attractiveness, a membership to the illustrious HotEnough.org or the inside scoop on any of its members we want to hear from you.
* One being the obligatory “full body” shot, of course!
**And numerous references to a 17-year old whiz kid and grungy bass-player of the same name.

You neglected to mention to Joker-esque grin. Combine that with the enourmously wonky left eye and he drops to a borderline 6.

Brad Pitt he is not. However, what really drops his points for me is his discriminatory opinion about what makes people beautiful. And I’ve never been a fan of the t-shirt/sport coat combo. Too Miami Vice.

I don’t think hot girls need to be on dating sites to get dates. Perhaps vanity is some factor. But not sure this really is a major appeal for hot women. I believe MillionaireMatch.com is more of a draw than this site for hot women

Quit hatin’ on the guy, if you are against the site, just don’t join it. He’s very attractive. I’d definitely give him my number.

***Free speech is a part of the world and we are only experssing ours! You may think the guy is attractive, and if you think you’re “HOT ENOUGH” then head over to the website and subject yourself to humiliating critiques and judging, if that’s what you really want for yourself! Maybe, then, you will catch Jason’s eye!***

Hey guys,
Thanks for the compliments on the pics. lol Yes, they picked a horrible picture which I can say makes me look more like Frankenstein then the person who should be behind the site.
As for making it on the site, I always felt I got a generous vote and did see myself more in the 7.5 range. Of course, you won’t see me complaining. So, for the comment on me voting myself in, I did not. If I didn’t make the cut, I would of been fine with the result with hopes of mingling at our Hotenough events. Believe me, I have lot’s of friends asking me to vote them in and I won’t.
As for the comment about the hot girl not needing to find an online date…You prove my case. It’s as if you say someone needs to be a bit desparate to be online when I just see it as an easier approach to meeting someone. Curently, the site is comprised of 5:1 girls. Why? My opinion is girls and guys for that matter want the whole package and finding that package is not easily achieved.
Hotenough.org is definetely a love/hate site. The one’s who make it, love it and the one’s who don’t…
Like it or not, it works.

This guy works for LawnMasters. I read an article that beefed him up as some “hot shot” at a Construction Company…..uhhh no. The office has under 10 staff members and they get bugs out of your grass. Funny you put yourself out there by taking such bold views and of course the criticism is due to come back–at least be honest about who you are.

What makes people think, that only cause they look ‘good’ they make better partners? I had, from good to bad looking boyfriends, but in the end it’s the personality and I personally wouldnt like to have a boyfriend who stands infront of a mirror longer then me, in the morning lol. I’m no hottie. I’m barely average and I never had any luck on dating sites lol. But if I had to be rated, then rather for my character, intelligents and charm, then my looks. Looks are just a small part of the whole person and usually not the most important part. I mean, whats the point in having a bf/gf who looks absolutly hot, but cant even spell their name properly? Somewhen you get tired from looking at them and not be able to hold a conversation 😉
