Rumors of a New York City-based spin-off of The Hills are heating up!
Spies say scenes for an upcoming pilot of The City (working title) were shot at the Meatpacking District eatery Nero Wednesday night.
“The central character of the show will be up-and-coming artist Jay Lyon, who was featured in an episode of The Hills with Whitney Port,” an insider says. “When they worked together, they immediately hit it off and started dating.”
If this report from the New York Post is correct, Whitney is indeed involved in a New York spin-off of The Hills, and seeing some – but the model she went on a date with on the show, named Alex, is not the boyfriend in question.
As you can see in the photo above, the adorable Whitney Port and the hairy Jay Lyon seem very happy together. The cameras made sure we caught that, too.
During the shoot, MTV cameras captured the lovebirds having an intimate dinner and sharing an earnest conversation. We’ll have to stay tuned for a more public announcement, if there is one, but this is exciting Hills gossip!
