We learned back in May that Kailyn Lowry had filmed an episode of an MTV dating show entitled Game of Clones.

And we learned shortly thereafter that she regretted her decision to appear on the series.

Kail tweeted, "Shoulda stayed home" following her two days of filming.

“This weekend was a waste of my time lol," she added.

Once the premise of the show was revealed, her frustration became entirely understandable.

Along with other MTV personalities such as Pauly D and Cara Maria of The Challenge fame, Kail was paired with several singles who resemble her celebrity crush.

If you’re thinking that premise sounds more than a little creepy, you’re not alone.

Kail chose Quavo of Migos as the celebrity object of her affection, and sure enough, producers located half a dozen dudes who look kind of like the rapper.

Not surprisingly, the situation didn’t result in Kail finding Mr. Right.

The show premieres February 21, and like many other MTV viewers, Kail has been cringing at promos that air during Teen Mom 2.

Asked about her participation with Clones during a recent Instagram Q&A, Kail reiterated that she wishes she hadn’t done the show.

But the main reason she wishes she had stayed home came as a surprise to many fans.

“I wasn’t thinking,” Kail told a follower during the Q&A.

“Met cool people but [I’m] also embarrassed and wished I didn’t [go on the show].”

Asked why she’s embarrassed, Kail answered, “I wouldn’t be with another man.”

Yes, apparently Kail felt that the show was a waste of time primarily because she’s done dating men.

She says she informed producers of the identity of her female crush, but they decided to go in the dude direction when casting her dates.

As The Ashley’s Reality Roundup points out, Kail doubled down in a tweet from February 4:

“Heard ‘Game of Clones’ commercial came out. Let’s just make it clear I would never be with another man again so…”

Sounds like she’s really serious about this new direction for her love life.

Of course, sexual preference aside, there are many reasons why Kail might have been disappointed with her experience on Clones.

Insiders tell The Ashley that filming was "hectic" and the stars were paid far less than they’re accustomed to.

Maybe producers felt that the matchmaking services they were providing should be adequate compensation.

Obviously, they were wrong on that one.
